The Trait of God

The concept of Godliness is the resistance against sin.

The eternal fight against an overwhelming desire to do what you WANT to do.

You WANT to sin.

It feels good to sin.

It is easy to sin.

You will always DESIRE to sin.

But you should NOT sin.

Because it is bad for you.

It is bad for everybody you love.

Humans are persistent hunters.

We were never the fastest or the strongest, simply the species which would not quit.

No matter how tired we were - to quit - was a sin.

To quit was death.

And it doesn't matter how good of a reason humans had to give up -

The desert was too hot and the antelope was too fast.

It was impossible today, but will be easier somehow tomorrow.

Quitting was still death.

Excuses do not change outcomes.

So our ancestors survived by rejecting the idea of sin completely.

Rejecting excuses and rationalizations.

Rejecting "BUT!"

Sin was universally forbidden.

It was not acceptable to sin IF you really wanted to.

It was not acceptable to sin IF it was really hard.

The more you resist the temptation to quit the closer you are to God.

You are only alive because your ancestors refused a universe where you would not be alive.

You are here because your ancestors refused to quit.

I am here to remind you.

No matter how tempting,

No matter the reasons, the excuses,

No matter if you get away with it and nobody will ever know.

To quit is still a sin.

And the most godly thing you could do,

Is to continue to fight.

RESIST THE SLAVE MIND.
